He once said, “people will forget your camera and the soul will drift up into view.”
Steve Mccurry is a American photojournalist and best known for his famous photography that appeared on The National Geography magazine.
The photo, with the title of " The Afghan Girl " was one of the most famous photography in the world. Photographing in the refugee camp bak in the 80s, Mccurry successfully captured the emotion through his lens.
But I'm not going to talk about this photos because he took a lot of series throughout the years. The one I will be showing is the " Still Life " series.
I love this series of photos because of the texture and the depths in the photos. I'm very inspired from the balance in between the far and close in Mccurry's photos. The well balances exposure and colours gives a melancholy feel although the photos (some) are quite colourful. The composition of big and small, far and close is very well thought, which i really love and hopefully I can successfully took this kind of the photos in the future. Lol
There's always something beautiful in the photos, can be real beauty, or the other way.
Well said that, “A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.”
